Inspired by this post by Ash Ambirge – and by climbing, which has taught me that you truly have to commit if you want to make the move.
So here is what I am committed to.
I am committed to pursuing this life.
I am committed to being terrified and trying anyway.
I am committed to believing in myself and my crazy dreams.
I am committed to letting go of everything I don’t need.
I am committed to packing up just what I do need and going where I am called to go.
I am committed to nights on couches, in backseats, and in tents.
I am committed to living with less while living for more.
I am committed to falling and failing.
I am committed to bumps and bruises.
I am committed to asking for help – and accepting it when it’s offered.
I am committed to giving all that I can to help others.
I am committed to creating community.
I am committed to speaking up and using my voice.
I am committed to being misunderstood but sharing my stories anyway.
I am committed to rejection.
I am committed to my own confidence and inner strength.
I am committed to not selling myself short or playing it safe.
I am committed to cold showers, no showers, and reveling in the dirt.
I am committed to surprising myself.
I am committed to not knowing but still going.
I am committed to moving forward and to growing.
I am committed to reaching out and reaching up.
I am committed to not giving up.
I am committed to taking the leap.
I am committed to creating and contributing.
I am committed to dirt, sweat, tears, and blood.
I am committed to breaking down and putting myself back together.
I am committed to following my intuition and standing in my truth.
I am committed to saying no.
I am committed to saying yes.
I am committed to being tired, hungry, sad, and scared and still being content.
I am committed to living a life that is mine.
What are you committed to?
I love this—can’t wait to share.
XO,
Ash
Thanks, Ash!! And thanks for inspiring this! When I saw the subject line of the post in my inbox, I immediately thought, that’s exactly what I need to know how to do! And when I opened the email, I instantly knew you were right. I wasn’t committing fully. So now I am. Completely.
